His fist hit the com terminal, as a nearby engineer stepped back alarmed. 'Shepard?! Shepard! Answer me!'. he demanded. Standing at shoulder height of most of the crewmen, he didnt look particularly intimidating. But his presence was undeniable. 'A-Admiral,' the young engineer interjected, a datapad still wavering in his hand. 'The last flagships have reached the rendezvous.'. he said. 'But, there's no word from-'. he trailed off under the gaze of a piercing stare. The admiral looked tired, his face nearly haggard in the pale blue glow of the com room. "Anderson, I know. Thank you Lieutenant." he replied. Glancing down at the empty holovid pad, he shook his head slowly. "Admiral Hackett," the helmsman added, almost apologetically. "They're waiting for you.".

"I don't have to explain what we just accomplished here people.". Heads turned across the intercom channels of intergalactic space. "I don't think words can. The long and short of it is, we won.". Thralls of battletorn ships shook violently from port to helm. The roar amidst the fleet was unmistakable. Crewmen from all races felt the taste of the impossible, the greatest threat in the history of the galaxy had been defeated by a united galactic alliance. "We may have started as a coalition of unlikely allies. And we've had our differences." Hackett continued. "But now, more then ever, we know that this alliance is the greatest way to honor those who gave their lives for this chance."

Wrex glanced at Primarch Victus aboard the Turian capital ship. He had been watching him for some time now.  "So he's dead." The Primarch said slowly. He hadn't looked up, nor moved from the wall he leaned against. "That's a man that you meet once every few.. what.. generations?". he lamented. Wrex said nothing. Walking over to Victus, he towered over him, letting out a low growl. The Primarch only raised his head, unmoving still. "If you have something to say, I suggest you say it." Victus continued. "I have an entire capital ship waiting for you to so much as breathe the wrong way.". Wrex's silence was menacing. "So he's dead? This is how you honor Shepard, with threats over his grave?" Looking slowly to his left and right, Wrex locked eyes with Victus again. "In fact, I don't see anyone here but you," he began, drawing his rifle. "And me..".
